b) Do you think it is important for Christians to read the Bible? (4)
I think it is important for christians to read the bible, especially when they are trying to make important moral decisions as the bible is influenced by God and is a good way of getting Gods own advice. also, christians can read stories in the bible and learn from other peoples mistakes in the bible, it can help christians work out how to live their lives as god wants them to.
4/4. Phrase it... 'this is because I believe that the Bible is influenced by God'... It is best to phrase it like this because of the diversity of understandings of the Bible even amongst Christians: Some Christians believe that the Bible IS God's ACTUAL words (LITERALISTS). Some believe that humans wrote it under the influence of the Holy Spirit and that it is the general gist of what God is saying, but has some inaccuracies eg Genesis Chapter 1: The creation of the world (NON-LITERALISTS). Others believe that it is a metaphorical document.
