d) 'Christians should agree with genetic engineering.' In your answer you should refer to Christianity.

I do not think Christians should agree with genetic engineering because if such technology were to advance, cataclysmic Biological weapons could be the result, weapons which could cause mass devastation amongst the human population totally going against the teachings of the Bible. Furthermore a quote from the Bible states 'You knit me together in my mothers womb' I believe that this means God created us in a specific way, and it would be wrong to change this. Also genetic defects are what make us unique, removing them would make it seem as if we were trying to create 'perfect humans' and this would be playing God.

    Some liberal Chistians may disagree with me on the grounds that Jesus did all he could to help others and so should we. Also GM crops can be made to survive in the harshest of conditions, this may be a solution to famine in the world. Christians believe that God has given them dominion over the Earth, this may include genes. Some Christians believe Genetic Engineering is acceptable for curing illnesses.
