  1. as a christain I believe that you should always follow your conscience, it is your inner feeling of the rightbness or wrongness of an action adn many christians believe that the inner voice is actually the voice of god and this is his way of helping christians to make the right decisions.
however, many people that are not christians would not agree that you should always follow your conscience adn it is your OWN inner feeling and could potentially be wrong, or bias or even be persuaded by something or someone else.

  2. This is an excellent answer. Remember though that even Christians believe that it is possible to 'sear' (burn) your conscience so that it does not have any feelings and 'nerve endings' any more so that you don't realise that what you are doing is wrong (Romans Chapter 1). In contrast, some people have an over-active conscience and think that they have always upset people. Most Christians e.g. Evangelical Christians, believe that this is wrong too. They appreciate that ultimately they have only 'sinned against God' (Psalm 51) and God will forgive them if they ask ('If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness' 1 John1:9). Therefore, it is not helpful or showing a good understanding of the Christian faith and the nature of God if they are continuing to feel guilty in their conscience even when they have repented (said sorry). They must then let go. Hope this helps?
